SSM Music classes take place twice every full week of school. The curriculum is closely aligned with the National Standards for Arts and seeks to foster spiritual development and cultivate Catholic identity through musical experiences.

Please note that students are required to participate in thier assigned grade level concert for performance final. Making sure your son or daughter is available to participate in his or her assigned date to participate in concert activities will make a significant , positive impact on his or her music grade. Making the points lost through missing out on meeting a specific, archdiocean mandated music education program objective, EXPERIENCING MUSIC THROUGH PERFORMANCE , will result in a loss of all potential concert participation points. Making these points up is very difficlt and involves a paper. The paper is not nearly as much fun for students as simply demonstrating what they have learned, and celebrating the progress they have made.
